Daily Outfit: Oceanic

Yesterday, my friends and I went to Manila Ocean Park. I really wanted to wear casual clothes because I know that we’ll be walking around a lot. My accessories are both gifts – the multicolored earrings is from a friend and the satchel is from my sister. Too bad you can’t see it from the pic but the top is actually knitted and its a bit see through. My Keds sneakers has black and white stripes… it’s super comfy! :)  So here's what I wore:

knitted top: thrifted, earrings: gift from friend, bag: gift from sister, shoes: Keds (Black & White Stripes)

the top is actually a bit sheer; upclose look at the multicolored earrings
I'm posting my pics at Ocean Park on a separate blog.... it's photo heavy! :P

Daily Outfit: Lady Rock

TGIF! woot!woot! This is exactly what I feel every time the calendar hits on a Friday :D Anyway, hope you had a great day today. Mine is work as always but it's ok --- it's much more bearable than Monday to Thursday hahaha.

Here's my outfit for today... a combination of hard and soft, feminine and masculine...

Lace top: Cinderella, Black Jeans: Freego: Brogue wedge: Mario D' Boro, necklace: Landmark, watch: gift

Tomorrow, we'll be going to Manila Ocean Park. This will be the second time that I'll be going there. There are a lot more attractions now than when we first went there. I'm looking forward to a weekend outing! :) I'll be posting pics from my visit there for sure.

Daily Outfit: Blue Tiger

I'm feeling a little blue today (color-wise that is). I'm also wearing one of my favorite dresses ... it's comfy, forgiving in the belly area (very, very important for me) and it's animal printed! :) The dress also has subtle stripes across so it's like I'm wearing print-on-print!

dress: Samlin@SM, bag: given by my sister, heels: Mario D'Boro

Nothing much to tell about what happened today except that we have a lot of things to do in the office... urgent requests here, multiple projects there...maybe it's because our customers are beating the Christmas rush (of year-end deadlines) :P

I hope that come December, we'll have more chillax time in the office!

New Beginning

This is supposed to be the first year anniversary month of my blog. However, I don't feel it deserves to be celebrated --- I haven't posted anything in a long time :( I lacked the discipline and will power to sustain this blog. I also lost the purpose why I blog. In fact, I even forgot my password prior to opening Blogger.

Of course, I have no one else to blame by myself. At times I'm too lazy to even open my blog. Adding to this, my dissatisfaction at my day job is just sucking my energy.

However, yesterday, I realized that I want to have my creative outlet back so that there's something useful  to do with my time and also have a diversion from the other things happening in my life. I now remember the reason why I open a blog in the first place. To share my passion for anything quirky & classic, to show my interest in fashion and travel, and to know other bloggers to interact with.

So with this, help me celebrate the first day of my return to blogging instead :D My posts may not be as much but I hope I can get more feedback and suggestions from everyone. Hoping to reconnect with my blog friends and meet more bloggers as well :)

P.S. Apologies if this post is too melodramatic... I just want to let it all out :)

Style Inspiration: K-Drama + Fashion

Gahhhh! Here I am again after NOT posting in a loooonnnnggggg time... what exactly am I doing that keeps me from blogging?... its watching Korean Dramas (or what we call here as Koreanovela)! Damn, these K-Dramas, they are so addicting :P In fact, it's soooo addicting that it's ruining my social life as well --- I haven't gone out to a mall in quite a while because I was doing K-Drama marathon. I even got sick because I wasn't sleeping anymore - I just can't shut down my laptop and sleep! I am that impatient not to see the next episode :P

But what exactly is the connection between Korean Dramas & fashion? A LOT! The best way to see their fashion sense is through K-Dramas. Sometimes, I may not like the story at all but I watch them solely for the fashion & OTPs (one true pair --- if the lead actor & actress have chemistry). I am that obsessed addicted :D

I think Korean fashion is extraordinary. They don't follow trends... they create them! It may really seem weird to some, even to me (especially Korean Men's fashion), but I truly admire them for being unique and original and fearless.

Here are some of the K-Dramas that I admire (fashion-wise). I haven't seen all of them but I guess that's the reason why I'm not blogging as much these days... I have a looonnnggg list of K-Dramas yet to watch!

You're Beautiful

I have seen this and it's so down right funny! This is were the men's fashion is really weird but I guess, since they are members of a band, they can get away with it :)
Fashion 70s
This is quite an old K-Drama and I haven't seen this yet but from the title itself, it really made me curious :P

Marry Me, Mary!
I have seen portions of this K-Drama... not liking the story but the interactions of the lead actor and actress (the ones sitted) is very interesting... and of course the fashion! Check out the leather "leggings" the second lead actor is wearing! LOL

Boys Over Flowers
The story was great during the first half of the series but it went downhill from there... still, I just love how the 4 boys displayed their power and riches (all of them belong to a very rich family). Their look is preppy-ish... with a twist :D

My Girl
One of the older K-Dramas I've seen. The fashion here is not that "revolutionary" but it was sure fun to watch! Great story too :)

Prosecutor Princess

I haven't seen this yet but this is definitely on top of my list. The premise is that a young woman is so intelligent & witty that she got hired as a prosecutor. However, she's more interested in fashion than actually working in a prosecutor's office :D Well from the looks of the poster alone, it sure looks like she's in the wrong office :P Look at those shoes!

City Hunter
This is the drama I'm currently watching (it's still airing in South Korea). Very fast-paced, engaging series! I love it so far. Look at the colored pants the lead actor is wearing... I say, very brave of him :P I love the lead actress' outfit (the one in the middle)... simple but fierce.

I'm sure there are a lot of K-Dramas out there that I haven't watched yet. Give it a try... I'm pretty sure you'll get addicted too. If not for the story then just admire their quirky & fun fashion :)

Shoe-In!

I have this moments wherein if I start buying one item, I'll buy similar items continuously for the rest of that month. Case in point - Around late April, I bought two pairs of sandals - one from SM (here) and the other from Tomato (here). This month, I have 2 new pairs of shoes, this time for the office. If I don't have self control, I would have bought more (which will also empty my wallet :P).

Block heel shoes: bought online
The shoes above is an online find --- specifically from a Facebook online buyer. It was pre-ordered from Korea. I have block heels in brown but I've been looking for a black one for the longest time. I know that block heels are no longer in style, but I really don't care 'coz  it's a type of heels that can support my (rather) fat legs :D I have a higher change of not tripping or experiencing sprains again :) It's comfy too. The bow is just a nice feminine touch and the material is not the usual leather - its actually corduroy.

Wedges: Juan by Janylin
The wedge heels is my latest purchase. It was bought at Glorietta 5. Initially, I didn't have any intentions of going to Glorietta 5 'coz it's out of the way. However, I needed to buy something at a shop located there and I happen to see a Sale sign at Janylin :D I guess it's fate that lead me to buy this :P I was hesitant in the beginning to buy the shoes but thinking that I rarely go to Glorietta 5 and that it was on sale, I walked out of the store carrying a plastic bag with a box of new shoes :) Wedge heels are also comfy, and again, can support my legs without wobbling.

The two items are both in black and their styles are simple. I usually don't like 'simple' styles when it comes to shoes, but given that I usually buy more printed outfits, I needed simpler shoes to go with it. In the end, I'm very happy with my purchases... but now, if I can just bury my wallet and credit card somewhere.....

Fever Pitch

It's been a while since my last post. Due to (emotional) stress at work & ever changing weather, I didn't have the energy to do anything else. Worst yet, I got sick :( So yes, these are the reasons that I wasn't able to update as much as I want to. I didn't even got to upload pics at Chictopia as well. I have 3 outfit pics that were not uploaded before I got sick so I'm just going to post it all at once (hehe time saver :p)

I'm feeling much better now (physically & emotionally). I just hope that nothing/no one will ruin my week again. Ok... happy thoughts where are you? :D

Here are the pics:

Polka dot dress: thirfted, belt & lace up booties: Landmark, lace bangle: bazaar
My outfit last May 12. I'm so happy with this dress because I bought it in perfect condition for only P35 at a thrift shop in Baguio :D It has a retro vibe and it can be accessorized in a lot of ways (I was planning to wear it with a red belt that I haven't used in a long time... sadly, because I gained to much weight, the belt no longer fits me!). To give my usual favorite heels some rest, I resurrected my lace up booties (looking back at this pic, it made my legs shorter. Too late for that now).

Top: bought from Australia, polka dot & stripes skirt: SM surplus, floral flats: bazaar, wire bangle: Landmark, earrings: Forever 21

This was my outfit last Monday, May 16. Now I remember the reason why I haven't used the lace up booties in a long time... it's way to high and uncomfortable that I sprained my ankles yet again wearing it :( So this time, I wear flats... the color of the flats matches all the colors in the skirt (serendipity I guess). I made my look simple because I remember that it was a very hot day! I got sick that night (and its probably because of the hot weather outside + sub zero temp inside the office) and was on sick leave the following day.

Floral & polka dots top: thrifted, belt: Landmark, bag & sandals & jeans: SM Department store, ring: Forever 21

This outfit was taken May 20. I love this (yet another) thrifted find because of its pattern. A combination of two different floral prints PLUS polka dots :P Print overload (in a good way... to me). I paired it with simple accessories. This is also the first time that I wore the sandals that I bought at the SM Mega Sale.

Hmm... funny that when I was putting captions, I only realize now that I was wearing florals &/or polka dots continuously for the last two weeks :D

So this is it for now. I really hope I can get my energy again to post blogs on a regular basis :)
